The smoking ban was instituted to protect employees.  How do you carve out exceptions that don't require employees to enter these "smoking rooms"?  And how do you prevent smoke from seeping into other areas of the building?

Employees have the right of choice just like patrons.  If the environment is not suitable, they can choose to work elsewhere.

Listen here!  The owners complaining about the smoking ban must serve watered down drinks or have some other issues because since the smoking ban every bar/restaurant I've been in is busy.  I have talked to servers who themselves are smokers they love it. There is a national movement to make Casinos smoke free. As far as smoking areas this is the same as a 'peeing' section in the pool. The thousands of cancer, heart/vasular, lung disease, asthma causing chemicals that pump out of the end of cigarettes should not be forced into or on the bodies of none smokers. I smell the big money tobacco lobbyists here. And wait didn't I see the Macinaw Center at the top of a page here, the group who would like to see our public schools eliminated and on and on ad nauseum who recieve funds from the K$$h brothers. VOTE McBroom OUT!  And the two who wrote the bills watering down the smokefree laws. We need jobs, why is he/they wasting precious time on this!!!???

My widowed friend w/ 4 kids worked in the neighborhood bar, near her home.  She now has a multitude of second hand smoke exposure illnesses, her non-smoking son died of cancer recently, young, he sat in the bar after school waiting for his mother, who never picked up a cigarette for herself. Less than 20% of the population smokes, why do the 80% have to be exposed to the thousands of chemicals coming out of the end of a lit cigarette? They can haul both of their 'butts' outside!

We need to require smokers to wear an armband with a picture of a cigarette on it, that way we will know who they are and able to keep a better eye on them. After all, it is 'them' isn't it?
