    This is a great idea.  No one in private sector gets vested for lifetime health care in six years or less.  Politics was not intended to be a full time career, but a civic duty.  We can NOT continue to afford this type of payment.  I don't know of any other sector that has better health care than the employers.  (The employers being "We the People".)

    Finally, a legislator who sees that there are actually trees in the forest!  Thank you for attempting to eliminate some of the on-going expense to our great state.

     Really, I beleive this is just  a "feel good" bill designed to boost the sponsors image. I have reservations if we could retroactively eliminate the benefits. Legislators represent their own interests above those of the people. Note how quickly that bill went to committee-where it will remain until after the fall election-then die of old age and disinterest.

    You are probably correct, since several legislators in the past have sponsored bills to have a part-time legislative body and they are just for "looks", translated "votes".  They go no where.
