    2009 Senate Bill 1030 (Authorize new renaissance zone tax breaks )

    Introduced in the Senate on December 10, 2009, to authorize renaissance zone tax breaks to a “renewable energy facility” that produces chemicals directly from trees, grasses, biosolids, algae, agricultural commodities, wood or forest processes, etc

    The vote was 36 in favor, 0 opposed and 2 not voting

    Why are we hand-picking the winners and losers in Michigan's economy?  If Michigan's business taxes are too high, then lower them.  For everyone. 

    I do hate to see something like this coming from the Republican side of the aisle.
