Does that mean the closer to the end of his term that he will basically have to stop working? I would understand not signing contracts that would last for years and years, but to have a blanket rule against any contract that go beyond his term seems a bit limiting. What if the school could land a really good deal but the other party requires a contract, lets say, for a year, but he only has 6 months left in the term, the school couldn't get it? That doesn't make any sense. More work on details and consequences needs to be done before you consider passing this
