Although I would agree divorce negatively impacts chilfdren, forcing couples to remain in a troubled marriage also negatively effects the children.

This bill attempts to legislate religious beliefs. It is ironic it is being proposed by a Republican, the party of less government.

I am totally against this idea of making it more difficult for people to divorce.  It is up to the married individuals what choice they make, not Big Brother gov't dictating what they can and cannot do.

Demanding that persons stay in a loveless marriage is not the business of government.  Couples do not "work" together or create business acumen if they do not enjoy being together.  I am thoroughly disappointed with McManus who seems to have lost the ability to put one brain cell in front of the other to properly think this issue out thoroughly.  Shame on her.

This general principle applies -- or should apply -- to many, many personal choices that adult people make in their lives.  We should be consistent in telling "Big Brother gov't"  to butt out of our personal lives and affairs.

(Actually, we should tell busybody citizens who push for special interest legislation to control others' lives through force of government to butt out.  The gubmint, after all, is us.  Those who stand silent in the face of oppression by their buttinsky neighbors are fools.)

This sounds like a good idea to me.  We shouldn't make divorce as easy as walking away when children are involved.  PARENTS MATTER.

@Indyvoter: I agree with your post. We as the people need to recognize that divorce is a cruel things to our children. If we are having problems with our marriage, then we need to seek mental health advice and counseling, and not allowed the courts take over our lives until our children are 18. If we allow divorce, then we are allowing destruction to our lives. If you read the statistics, you will see that I am correct. In addition, Heavenly Father hates divorce.

amend adoption code laws-best interest of child.

710.56 add (b) except if a child is adopted by maternal or paternal

grandparent ,this does not prohibit visitation with either granparent. it will save children and state money. doesnot output into parentrights.
