You people in Lansing are out of control.  Why don't you just quit and the people in your district can find someone else that might actually do some work that benefits them at least.

so one license isn't enough? why must there be two licenses? to what purpose? and how does having two licenses benefit the people?

The people of that district have voted in who the majority wants.

This is a response to poppy.

who the majority wants is not the question. who will this law benefit is. bad law is bad law.

I see the administration has changed the description of this bill. After reading it, I could not see where two dealers licenses would be required.

Introduced by Sen. Jim Barcia (D) on March 11, 2009, to impose a new recreational vehicle dealers license that is separate from the regular vehicle dealer license RV dealers currently must have.

either the current licensing is not good enough, or rv dealers are some special sub-class of dealer, with special needs and special relationships with the manufacturers.  neither requires special or different licensing. to go further is obstructionism.

I think they changed the description from what you wrote to what it is now because it doesn't propose a seperate dealers license, but a new version.

i just copied this a minute ago. when did it change? why do we need a different license to begin with? what is the matter with the old license? why are they 're-inventing the wheel'? in other words, what special interest is served by this law? certainly it cannot be the interest of the people.

I can only answer your first question. It just changed, in the time we have been most recently posting.

I do not fully understand what the law is trying to accomplish, and I don't think the administration is all that sure either.

then why are they changing it? there must be a reason. and if the reason is not "for the good of all the people" it will probably end up in bad law.

Maybe some other poster's can help explain this, or the administration. I will save my opinion until I am sure what it does. Another Jefferson quote would apply here:

"Ignorance is preferable to error, and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing than he who believes what is wrong."

how preferable it would be if some of your fellow democrats in the legislature and the executive branch followed that philosophy.
