    2009 Senate Bill 261 (Require certain child death reports and procedures )

    Introduced in the Senate on February 18, 2009, to establish that an annual report on child fatalities that a state multiagency, multidisciplinary advisory on child fatalities is supposed to prepare is to be published with or without prior approval from the Department of Human Services. The bill would also revise the statute on required county "child fatality review teams," adding a court representative and requirin them to also review each child fatality involving a child under the jurisdiction of the family court in an abuse or neglect case

    The vote was 37 in favor, 0 opposed and 0 not voting

    This version is more succinct and has the potential to become a template for the construction of a similar database for children who are abused and neglected under the auspices of the state.  The public has an obligation to know the operations of its government for the purposes of research and development for greater efficiency.

     perhaps we should require a child death report for every abortion performed.
