This bill, makes sense for Detroit, because true market value of real property, is location-location-location. The assessors, of Detroit's real properties have not been honest, in their assessments of values, because of the depreciation of value; boarded up and burned out houses, closed up commerical areas and closed up schools. How can an assessor, find a reason, to raise the assessment rate, when depreciation-depreciation-depreciation exist??? Robert Thomas

    More cents

What makes more sense is getting rid of propery taxes all together! There has to be a better way to fund our failing public schools. Maybe we should get rid of them also.
