    Sorry-bad plan!

The state of Mchigan instituted this bottle deposit to help keep our roadsides clean. This is the highest deposit in the nation. To say that the consumer can now only refund a limited amount of bottles at once is punitive. Such a limit does not serve the public interest! Perhaps the consumer should only purchase $5 worth of product at a time?

    Have a surplus

Benefits the Rich. There is around $30 million in unclaimed bottle deposits anyway. Bottles get smashed on the road or whatever. This bill is of no help to us. It help the rich keep their profits.

    more BS

From the same guy that was one of the few republicans to vote for the service tax. I hate term limits, but am glad he will be going. Bad bill. Bad legislation.

    Great Idea

as long as you limit the amount of beer and pop that we're allowed to purchase. Idiots!

How the HELL do you think those kids get to CAPITOL tours?

By fundraisers where we collect pop bottles. What UTTER nonsense! What motivation do people have to keep bottles off the street and out of the garbage. We are a tourist state. Keep it clean. If you could only do $5 a day, you'd use that much in gas getting to the store. Bullshit, clearly!

Sen. Ron Jeline, where ya from buddy? This is Michigan.

We've evolved. We rely on tourism. Keep it clean. I do not support this legislation.

Let's see GAS is over $4/gallon, bet people are actually returning

bottles so they can afford gas and the businesses are getting PISSED. TOO BAD. DO NOT PASS THIS BILL. SUCK IT UP, business owners. When you charge your first born child for a gallon of milk people are breaking down and returning bottles. This bill is CRIMINAL. If you are going to charge 0.10 then you need to give people an opportunity to get their money back. Otherwise, it's STEALING from the consumer. I can't believe this legislator has the gall to attach his name to this. Like no one would notice? Please.
  • 06-26-2008 2:08 PM In reply to

Wouldn't taking a ten cent deposit become CRIMINAL/stealing if we

    can't get it back easily.
