    2008 Senate Bill 1180 (Facilitate and authorize tax breaks for Michigan film production )

    Introduced in the Senate on March 4, 2008, to allow film companies to property owned by or under the control of the Department of Natural Resources at no charge for shooting films, TV shows and digital media productions in Michigan

    The vote was 37 in favor, 0 opposed and 1 not voting

    favor one industry? Why not cut all taxes and stupid regulations in half and then try to cure different problems, like where do we get workers for all these new companies coming in? What are we going to do about our housing shortage? I have never seen a bigger bunch of egotistical, nariccistic, power hungry, control freak, short sighted twits than we have running this state.     Film making in Michigan to save Hollywood money? That’s a new one. So Granholm and her “idiots” actually think before a writer picks up his pen to write a script they think, “Hmm, I wonder where in the world we’ll get a discount on taxes?” Yeah, that and fairy tales will get you nowhere. I may be wrong here, but I believe the script drives location picks, not the tax abatements. The truth is, Granholm and her idiots, are so narcissistic they actually believe someone out there wants them to star in a movie. How about a take off on Dumbo, the communistic leader and her pack of rats running Michigan; A real tearjerker!
