It's about time that all legislators understand the meaning of our Constitutional Second Amendment which states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
All 50 States, not just Michigan and Montana, should submit letters to the U.S. Supreme Court telling them, not asking them, but telling them to ENFORCE our Constitution and all the rights it conveys to us, the citizens. To do otherwise constitutes a breach of faith to everyone and violates their role.
Our Founding Fathers used the term "SHALL NOT" not "may not" or "could not" or "might not" "be infringed". "SHALL NOT" means will not, it is PROHIBITED from infringing that right. If our Founding Fathers didn't deem the right to protect ourselves from ALL threats they wouldn't have placed it second, right after our right to religion, to free speech and assembly, to freedom of the press and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Congratulations for displaying your Brass Cajones. Others should follow your lead.
Remember "The Tree Of Liberty Has Brass Roots."
