    Social Studies

Great Idea, eliminate, eliminate, eliminate. Maby students would engage in the subject matter if they didn't have mindless details cramed down their throat in an effort to "pass a test"

    Testing has its merits

Every good teacher out there knows students have to engage with content to learn and appreciate it. State testing is a way to show students the importance our legislators place on social studies. Unless you get rid of ALL testing, leave social studies a part of it.
