Citizens Against The Exploitation of Private Bathrooms
Where do I begin! Wow! Time for some of you so called Rep's to go on part time work to balance the budget. You have way too much time on your hands. This bill stinks.
Before you, take yet another right away from private business think about this:
If the bill were truly geared towards the betterment of society, then why stop with private businesses. And for that matter, all situations that require immediate bathroom privileges should be allowed. If I am driving by one of your houses and have diarrhea or it's that time of the month, you must let me in and use your personal bathroom. I can assure you that it would be no trouble to carry around a piece of paper that says I have a period once a month, or ISB. There are just as many unscrupulous Doctors as there are lawmakers with too much time to poop around.
Furthermore, if your personal bathrooms are not handicapped accessible for my pooping pleasure, get ready to bring them up to code because I will probably trip, fall, and sue you.
Now why I'm sitting on your thrown I had better not view anything that looks like black mold or I will probably feel sick and need to have your house inspected. After that, you will all need to be evacuated to another location, at your expense. Then there's the inevitable devaluation of your home because no one will feel safe and after several attempts to put it on the market, missed time at work (not that any of us will miss you) you will come to the conclusion that welfare is your only answer. Welcome to Michigan!

Some people are just IGNORANT!
If you would have read the bill before going off on a completely incorrect tangent about a condition you obviously have never been in contact with you would realized you whole statement is nothing but hot air. The bill is for use of employee restrooms, yes but this is if there isn't a public one. You the person using the restroom cannot sue for injury or harm because of the location. If the location is too hazardous then entry is still unpermitted. IBD is no joke and anyone with that condition can tell you so. Not every person has an emergency every time they have to go, but it is nice to be able to save someone the embarrassment. I hope the new bill passes and I'm sorry for those people that are so unconsiderate to other around them.

It's the Government's Choice no matter what happens
The Government dictates all sorts of stupid crap. What's it matter if they dictate the use of a crapper. IBD is just like any other handicap that someone may have, just different criteria. Why don't we get rid of handicap spots in parking lots too. People are so concerned about their private facilities needing to be cleaned? I have rarely been in a private bussiness' facilities that were cleaner that the public facilites anywhere. Most people are responsable and wouldn't cause a mess. That is a ridiculous reason to deny someone with a medical condition (that they have no control over) the use of a bathroom. In the earlier years of our society everyone seemed to just show eachother a little more respect, now everyone is so abrasive and rude. We wonder why everything is falling apart.

Done wasting my time on you
Sounds like you have your panties in a bunch. I'm done wasting my time trying to even just express an opposing view to a brick wall. Your the reason america is in the crapper. It's not the libs it's not the conservatives it's the jerks that oppose anything and everything just to hear themselves blow hot air. America was built on a democracy where everything has to be voted on and passed; be it by dems or reps. The original bill has already passed and hopefully the new one will too! So enjoy cleaning up my crap!

Wrong-You Are The Problem
"America was built on a democracy"
This country was never a democract, was never intended to be a democracy and democracies are bound to fail and the founding fathers knew this very well. We were and should still be a constitutional republic. We have a republican form of government. Please educate yourself, seems that the public indoctrination center has failed you.
Democracy is four wolves and a sheep voting on dinner.
Robert A. Heinlein
If pigs could vote, the man with the slop bucket would be elected swineherd every time, no matter how much slaughtering he did on the side.
--Orson Scott Card
"So enjoy cleaning up my crap!"
And you call me the "problem"?
My guess is that if you lost that extra 200 lbs you carry that your pooping problem would disappear.

Thank-you for showing compassion for your fellow man
You would be surprised to see who is on the other side of the keyboard. Someone barely able to keep up a healthy weight, hospitialized twice in the last year due to complications, still working 40+ hours a week, young individual. I must not be educated on our legal system, but you should learn about the condition you are making light of. Not to mention how many Americans it affects. I will pray for you and your good health.

Speaking of cutting individuals down.
Sounds like someone can't help but resort to name calling themself. What does name calling have to do with this bill? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That is what makes America so great! The bill has already passed and that's that. I know it can be difficult when your view has not been recognized, but just remember to follow the golden rule (treat others as you wish to be treated).

They should take it further
Perhaps if more of the "typical" businesses were required to have restrooms available to the general public then there would be less need to make "all" businesses have restrooms available for "special needs individuals- by the way, who wants to go to the doctor to get a "bathroom pass".
I want to know why EVERY retail style business with a bathroom is not required to make it available to the public- ESPECIALLY gas stations- they sell 50 oz big gulps- but you can't use the restroom!! Seriously. I have children and sometimes they don't know until the last minute that they need to go. Or worse yet, when we are on a road trip and I go to fill up and they don't have a public restroom. I have even gone so far as to yell back out the front door of the gas station and tell my husband to stop pumping gas because they won't let my crying child use the bathroom.
It might sound like I'm ranting but I once had an afternoon in Ann Arbor where I went to 3 gas stations AND a KFC with a screaming child and finally made it to a McDonald's but by then he had wet his pants. It's absolutely ridiculous! I've bordered on being violent with the gas station owners.
If an establishment sells food and drink (even packaged) they should have a restroom available for public use. Where else do they expect you to go??

Research what it means to have IBD
The reason why AMerica is suffering is because we have unintelligent people arguing for the sake of arguing. A bill wouldn't be passed if the restroom issue was not a problem amongst people suffering from these terrible conditions. Living a normal life under these horrible and embarassing diseases is no walk in the park. It destroys any hope of a normal life. I myself have Ulcerative Colitis and worry constantly about going shopping without using the bathroom. It;s so funny to me that people are calling this bill stupid. WHy don't they see how difficult it is to live with such a horrible condition and than we'll see if they still fight against the bill. They obvioulsy have no clue what it's like.
