    We NEED LOWER RATES!!

Consumers Energy customers already pay one of the highest rates in the country per kilowatt hour. My electric bill-for a single-wide trailer with one person home and not using electric for water heating , cooking or central heating has recently gone up to about $100/mo! Better you spend time looking at why we are paying such high rates instead of trying to pad CE's pockets with even more rate increases. Have our charges lowered to a reasonable amount, THEN look at ways to fund alternative energy sources!

    Quit With The "Mandates" Already

"mandate that electric utilities acquire at least 4 percent of their power from “renewable” sources, growing to at least 8 percent by 2013." Cut taxes and get out of everyones pockets. The state will start growing again. Everything you guys do to help has unintended consequences. Part Time Legislature Now

NUTS TO YOU -- Rep. Frank Accavitti, Jr.

Again, another tax/fee increase proposed. As if we aren't fee'd and taxed to death already. Last one out of Michigan, please shut off the expensive lights! Does Rep. Frank Accavitti, Jr. think all of us have the deep pockets to outfit our homes with solar power? Maybe we can get them (representatives) to vote to garner for all the taxpayers the salaries, benefits, and perks that our representatives have afforded to them? Dream on!

    ?!?!?!

I don't know about all of you but I sure don't need HIGHER electric rates. Get a life, MI Legislature. Better yet, this state desperately needs to go back to a part-time legislature. One where the participants have real jobs like the rest of us.

    measures too weak

Senate Bill 385 is a stronger renewable energy bill. We need the strongest bill possible given the tremendous long-term costs of allowing greenhouse gas emissions to continue at present or increased levels
