    Child Size

Wouldn't a height/weight limit be better? I've seen some very small 8 year olds and very big 8 year olds. Some of these children are as tall as as a 9-10 year old and will have a VERY difficult time fitting in a booster seat.

    Leave it alone

The law as it is works just fine.My kids look foward to not riding in their booster seat it's part of growing up they're a big boy or girl it boost their self esteem and everything else. The state intrudes enough on our lives why do they insist on digging in deeper and deeper. The booster seat corporations are behind this I am sure and get considerable profits if they can convince the idiots in Lansing that intruding deeper into our lives and pocket books is the way to go.Michiganders better wake up and pay attention or the next thing you know all our freedoms will be gone. These politicians can't think of any decent way to improve the economy so they waste our tax money debating junk legislation like this bill.

grandchildren alive muchmore important than selfesteem

I would much rather have my grandchildren alive so that I can help to develop their self esteem. What good does it do to have self esteem and be killed riding in a car.

    a good idea!!

ya know what WHO CARES if my 4 year old has his feelings hurt simply because i make him ride in a carseat?! (a 5pt. harness at that!!) I don't care if he "looks farward" to not having to ride in a booster seat. He also looks forward to turning 5, 10, 16, 21, ect....which he wont do if we are invloved in an accident and he isnt restrained properly. I shudder to think of how many kids should still be alive had they been restrained properly.
