    Labeling "Michigan" Bottled Water

I would like to see more information about if the water in the bottle has fluoride. So many of them don't and that increases everyones risk of tooth decay. It is very important to know what you are buying with bottled water. Does the processing of the water under go the strict guidelines other bottlers have to abid by? Where are the sources of this water? Do we what to take the water from the Great Lakes? Have we researched the affects of the water table issues and the costs to our state's natural resources enough to know the consequences of these actions?

    Spring Water labeling

Whether you agree or disagree with the extraction of spring water for profit; it seems only responsible to inform consumers so they may have a choice. Many consumers are unaware that the extraction of spring water to be bottled MAY BE HARMING the environment from the source site. If the label states this; consumers are allowed to make their own decisions regarding the purchase or lack there of, of spring water.

    Advetising Michigan Water Label

I beleive the label, unless it is stated that it is being wihtdrawn with possible harm, will promote the public to buy it. People have no idea what is at stake when shallow aquifers are mined for water bottling co's. profits. They don't have a clue and this would be more government regulation that would be useless like any other lableling I.E. Alcahol, Tobacco, etc. This legislator needs to get the facts and fight the mining and removal of "spring water" from Michigans Water Wonderland (Wonder Where it Went).
