    NO NO NO

We do NOT WANT the Real ID Act at ALL!!!!! I WANT A BILL THAT OUTRIGHT REJECTS IT. PLEASE pay attention...this is a very bad idea...our personal information will be housed in a single data base making it more vulnerable. MANY people cannot comply with the requirements to receive this 'national id'. WE STILL DONT KNOW if DHS will require fingerprints, retinal scans, DNA or an RFID chip in the license allowing us to be tracked anywhere. It is an unnecessary, costly, bureaucratic nightmare that will only mire us in more red tape, have to be paid for by all of us at some point and does not answer the question of " AM I SAFER FROM TERRORISM NOW? " In case you have not noticed our constitutional freedoms are quite limited these days thanks to the Feds. Our country is in a military action illegally and because of fraudulent manipulation by the Feds. We are in deep trouble economically with no end in site because of the Feds. They still have not taken care of NEW ORLEANS!!! And you think giving them everything they want and making 'them' pay for it wont come out of our pocket? Waste OUR time? TAKE US FURTHER DOWN THE ORWELLIAN PATH? Grow a pair and fight this nightmare.

    new orleans is

doing quite well WITHOUT the fed's help, thank you. simply allowing people to get back to their lives without federal assistance has gone a LONG WAY in helping to re-build the city. the liberals hate to see it happen, but it's happening anyway. by the way, the "chocolate" mayor has put welfare recipients on notice. if you want welfare, don't come back, there isn't any here. the parish i live in is 95 percent recovered, as are most of the surrounding parishes. only orleans parish is still "blighted" by the storm. most of the housing destroyed and flooded in new orleans proper was "section 8", and thus will not be repaired or rebuilt.

michigan constitution,  article 1. Sec. 6.

Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

    Thanks, but NOOOOOOO thanks!

The *last* thing that this "republic" needs is yet another fascist usurpation of states' rights, right to privacy, and individual liberty. We don't need congress to fully-fund Michigan's implementation of "Real-ID." Our state legislature needs to refuse to implement this turd instead, and give the finger to the obnoxious Washington police-staters, as several of the more freedom-loving states have done.

I spoke with Rep. Opsommers office on 4-23-07 and was told that He is currently drafting legislation for the State of Michigan that asks Title II of Real ID be repealed. This is great news and I plan to stay on top of this and report more as updates are available.
