    Eliminate the property tax

The property tax should be eliminated completely. There has to be a better way for the government to take our money. Think you own your house/property? Don't pay your property taxes and see what happens. Talk about socialism!

    Once a week

Every week, at least 1 bill gets presented to help some group or another with the burden of Proposal A. At some point the Legislators will cross the line and discriminate against the rest of us. Perhaps this bill does based on age? I have seen a dozen of these proposals to lessen the burden of this completely messed up system. You think the whole pop up system is part of the reason there is a 5 year supply of houses for sale in the Detroit Metro area? Proposal A is broken and needs to be fixed. These band aids are just to make the Guildas of Lansing feel good.

    It killed us

Yep, when the house we bought had the cap come off the taxes went from 1200 to 4000.00. It was a non homestead but was in a town that has nothing. Needless to say we are not in the Real Estate biz anymore!!
