Introduced in the Senate on July 26, 2006, to revise the motor carrier fuel tax on commercial truck fuel to conform to the lower diesel tax rate on "bio-diesel" authorized by
Senate Bill 1074, now Public Act 268 of 2006. The dicount would have 10-year sunset, or be eliminated when it generates annual tax savings of $2.5 million, whichever comes first. The legislature would have to make up the reduction in annual road tax dollars caused by the bio-diesel discount
