    It's the economy stupid III

Is it possible for employment or economic growth to be any worse in Michigan? The Department of Labor and Economic Growth appears to be shopping for a reason for its existence. The following is from the Dept. of Labor and Economic Growth: "...Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG), which opened for business officially Dec. 8th, 2003. Governor Jennifer Granholm created DLEG to promote job creation and economic growth in Michigan by centralizing and streamlining the state's job, workforce, and economic development functions under one department. The new department, led by DLEG Director David C. Hollister, will be a one-stop shop for business creation and development." Now, after reading the above, doesn't it seem clear that this department should take over the state duty of reviewing county plans for jail facilities from the Department of Corrections to the Department of Labor and Economic Growth.????
