This bill provides that a private property owner cannot prevent a CPL licensee who is a state or local government employee from carrying a pistol during an inspection of private property. This should aid considerably in providing protection for public employees from assaults in the course of their required inspections. This bill should be approved.

Given the life threatening environments and situations many state employees are put in during the course of their work, I think it is appropriate to allow them to carry a concealed weapon for their personal protection, assuming they have complied with Michigan's CCW law. I encourage your support of HB4694.

I encourage your support of the Michigan Constitution Art. I, Sec 6: Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state. Why is this law needed? Because someone passed a law that in effect negates Art I, sec 6? Where is an intelligent judge when you need one?

Great if they go to the ccw classes and all the other requirements and pay for it themselves and purchase there own gun. Not the State of Michigan. This will remain an idea.
