    Excellent idea!

People shoudn't be penalized due to a slow moving bureaucracy. This is one of those, "why didn't we do that in the first place?" laws!

    About time

In response to Stu's comment, in early 2000 when 2000 PA 381 was being considered in the House, I (and others) strongly recommended that gun boards be required to issue CPLs within 90 days of application. This is even better! (All it takes is a lot of patience, and maybe some day we'll get a really good law.)

    What's the holdup??

The house voted on this in August, why the Committee holdup in the Senate? Is it because this came about because of action by SAFR and GLSSSA and NOT MCRGO? I guess it's better to cut off your own nose to spite your face rather than get good, decent legislation on the Governor's desk.

    This is an improvement

It helps protect the citizen against a foot dragging bureaucracy.

    Grow up.

    Talk about petty. Grow up!

    I agree it's petty

CPL's should be granted for a lifetime like a builder's license. There should be no renewal only perhaps continuing education so we are all up on new laws. Like when we pass the no retreat law like Florida!!!!!

    Great idea!

LOVE the lifetime licensure idea! We need a brave lagislator to cobble together THAT bill. It sure would do away with all of THIS mess!!!

    I could've predicted this vote.
