We urge you to strike language in House Bill 4379, Sec. 1202 (b) stating "and who are not otherwise covered by health insurance." Michigan must retain medical
assistance for adults with CF, as many of these individuals cannot afford
the out of pocket expenses for CF care. Further, maintaining this
assistance program will save Michigan more dollars on more costly care if
these individuals are denied benefits and must turn to Medicaid.
