    What about fairness?

Professionals in other fields can search for better jobs, pay, position, and benefits without limits on when they can do so. So why introduce a bill that would limit teachers rights to look for better options or advancement by not allowing them to do so after July 1.

    Fair?

What about being fair to the district that you contracted to work for that now has to find a replacement teacher? What about being fair to the students that may or may not get a qualified teacher to instruct them?

    Motive?

What is the MEA's position? This legislation ensures job security, however, it does insinuate an ulterior motive in the teaching profession.
