    Re: This is wrong !!

I am a vic of this too. Seems as most of us are. The petition only raised under 7000 names how many did it need? So I would assume either it didn't get around to enough people or most just don't care. I got my ticket paid my fines and did some jail time over it. punishment done! So I thought, now the DRF holds it's hand out. I'm trying to pay them but it's not going so well cause I can't get to work cause I can't drive to get there. No DL for 2 years (requirement by SOS) after and only after the two years I can apply to get a hearing to get it back. So after the 2 years I will apply, how soon will I get a hearing date??? Sounds like I won't get a hearing for some time as it seems the line will be quite LONG!!!If the punishment was 2 years of no driving why should I have to apply for a hearing to get it back and then may or maybe not get it and have to wait until they get back around to me. You don't go to jail for 90 days and then the jail people hold you for an extra 30 days because you "might" break the law again. You have served your punishment therefore you should be done

It's funny how the government tries telling you that driving is a privelege. You have the right to travel freely. They get away with forcing you to pay their fees because you let them.

Free people should not be forced to do anything. Free people do not pay taxes, licensing fees and bureaucratic operating expenses at gunpoint.

At some point you're going to have to stand up and say no more. Tell the judge you won't pay and not only will you continue to drive without a license, you will make it your purpose in life to get others to do the same. Stand in front of the secretary of state office with a sign that says stop paying for permission. Hand out fliers encouraging others to stop renewing their license and tabs. Take an active role in this critical act of civil disobedience. Get it all on video. Put it on youtube.

You cannot change the system from within because the legislators want your money. You have to sacrifice, get your case in front of a jury and push hard for jury nullification. Look at what the FreeStaters in New Hampshire are doing. Google underlined terms for more info. Take a stand Michigan.
