Introduced in the House on April 29, 2003, to allow public school retirees to name a second spouse as a pension beneficiary if a first spouse predeceases him or her and if the second marriage occurs after the effective date of the retirement allowance. The new spouse would not be eligible for health insurance benefits provided as part of the retired school employee's pension benefits
