We all pay for things we don't use

I understand that this bill is supposed to make things more fair because people over 70 without dependants will probably not be seeing any benefits from the school system. But so what? We all have to pay for things with our taxes we don't use. For instance, I'll probably never get to use Social Security, and yet there goes my money. I don't benefit from welfare, but I pay for it. I don't benefit from Medicare - there's my money some more. I'll never have kids, and am not in school - oh, more money of mine. Or a billion other things. It's just part of the deal that we all pay into the pool, and it gets distributed, sometimes to things we don't personally need. This bill would reduce education money, at a time when we need MORE money in education. Not a good idea.
