i have noticed that the left has slowed it's rabid attack on the second amendment now that the supreme court has ruled that it is a personal right, not a right held only by the militia or the national guard. i'm interested to see how that decision 'trickles down' to the local and state level, and whether or not states like michigan will be called to task in the federal courts to get rid of useless programs such as gun registration and permits to purchase.

it would APPEAR ALTRUISTIC that democrats DON'T HATE GUNS. they have people with guns with them all the time, police officers and bodyguards, but no armed citizens.

they cackle on about LOVING the second amendment ALMOST as much as they love the first. (heaven forbid the government take away their freedom of speech by force.) but don't do much about it. they DO keep on coming up with ineffective programs that are aimed at disarming the public, and dump billions of tax dollars into them.

for example. how much do gun boards cost the state of michigan?

they don't fight crime, for not one crime has been solved by the gun board. they don't PREVENT crime, for again, not one single crime has been prevented by the gun board. they DO duplicate effort. which is wasteful in anybody's book.

they also effectively hinder and some would even say ABRIDGE the citizen's right to keep and bear arms. recent posts citing the gun laws in kennisaw only touch upon the KEEP aspect of the second amendment. the PERMIT to carry a concealed weapon is an abridgement of the AND BEAR ARMS provision. permits should be struck down and free carry should replace it.

how many crimes has GUN REGISTRATION SOLVED? absolutely none.

how many crimes CAN gun registration solve? absolutely none.

why do we register guns? so that the state can know where they are to confiscate them. there is no other legitimate purpose for registration. it's not even a REASONABLE control on guns, as there is no REASON to register them other than to violate the gun rights of the citizens.

i will believe that the legislators are FOR gun control when they limit the places and times their own bodyguards can go armed. until then, i can only believe that gun control is meant to disarm law abiding citizens.

it seems that old trueblue has no opinion (at least in public) about disarming the populace.

he does keep on spouting the socialist line.

the dumbocrats have tried (unsuccessfully) for seventy five years to disarm the population.

why?

is it because they fear an armed populace?

is it because a man with a gun cannot be cowered into accepting unjust treatment?

is it because tyrants fear those that can stand up for themselves?

i'm interested to find out what true/false thinks of this.
