I agree. It is not only a 6th amendment violation as it is only triggered in response to existing offenses you have already been fined for and had your day in court, but it is a violation of due process in that you have no day in court and are in essence being 'found guilty' before the fact of something you haven't done based on the fact they allege you 'may' do it which is a clear violation of due process which is protected by both the 5th and 6th amendments.

The approach with the petition is the way to go. There is no other fair right way. Tickets are just those, (Tickets). When is taking too much the issue? This is why taking over the limit for fines that people are paying for anyway. That is why a person pays their money to a courthouse- for the retribution so they can get back on their feet. That is expensive and can cost a lot. It takes your life right away what you are doing! I have known those who lost their HOMES for you too!!!! Jennifer Granholm was to blame! Nobody in their right mind should suffer that badly. This was just your rotten way to watch people die!

i think the approach with a petition is the way to go, with an initiative petition it requires 304,101 signatures. i think this current petition that is available to sign is not the correct way to approach them. it is clear to me that he 8th amendment which states, excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. its clear to me right there that the responsibility fee is considered an excessive fee. here is the definition of excessve: exceeding what is usual, proper, necessary, or normal. also the double jeopardy clause of the 5th amendment. we need to assemble a group of us to come up with ideas about writting a petition and also get volunteers to do foot work, im willing to take part in all events to take place. message me. this is one step closer to gaining our freedom back

This to me is really something to keep "people" behind not only are we in a recession but it is hard enough to pay a ticket which don't mean anything, anymore being charged those fees are not realistic you can't jump out there to that level unless you start from the bottom and then we can meet you half way my suggestion is putting laws that designed to take money from tax payers should be eliminated until we get the economy back on track like at this point I can't afford my car note and the drivers responsibility one has to go.

I've been hit with the DRL twice and refuse to pay it due to it's unconstitutionality. In speaking with several city, county and state police officers and district judges they all agree that the law is not fair and call it double dipping by the state, unfortunately it is the law.

I just think thta it is crazy because there is alot of people out here that cannot afford to pay the fees givin by the state and they are pressureing people to break the law and go ahead and drive with out a lisence .. Sry I have actually traveled to Germany , Austria, Switzerland , Russia , and South Korea. For some reason I would be willing to bet you have never left this country for even a single day (Canada and Mexico don't count). so having said this my info does not come from the news , but real life as I have spent one month in each of those countries. The Japanese are a great example; they Love our products and our people but if you sit and have a conversation with some Japanese people most will tell you they are very weary of our government. This is repeated all over the globe. Talk to the People . Not representatives of the people, hence their governing body. Most Governments will talk kindly of the US as they could easily be sanctioned (because this is the most powerful country on God's not so Green Earth). Think for yourself and might I suggest ; Stop watching the Turner Broadcast agency.and all the hype they perpetuate!
