how about we require the owner to either clean it up, or the state will clean it up for them. using FINES given to the owners of the property, and inmate labor. the houses could then be rented, bringing income and additional housing to the area.

it MIGHT mean taking someone's property (a common practice anyway), and enslaving inmates (a practice allowed in the constitution) to accomplish this goal, but to listen to the left, it's going to have to happen anyway.

we can also seize the assets of the owners of the houses to pay for the renovations. this state doesn't mind punishing several times for the same infraction. call it RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP FEES.

it would also broadcast the owner's name in the paper, so heaven forbid a politician should own some blighted property being used as a crack house.

to listen to some on this site, the socialist way is best. let's just take it to it's logical extreme. just to see how they like it.
