We all want safety !! I also feel that the center fire restriction should be lifted. I live in a rural area in Northern lower Michigan and I've got more Yote's around my farm than I care to think about.

I'm also in favor of doing away with the hunter orange while hunting predators. I don't see why the wearing camo while predator hunting would be any different than the hunting of crows, turkeys, or ducks, it would allow us to remain concealed far better from the very keen eyes of spooky canines.

These are MY personal views on this matter !

i agree

I would also like to see 22 caliber centerfires allowed for night hunting and the abilty to shoot raccoon with the aid of an electronic caller.

I Agree

It's safer for everyone.

push for passage

I support this bill and urge it's passage.

agree

Shooting in to the ground is MUCH safer than across it. Any improvement to hunting safety will also improve hunting relations with the public. Even if it is just a few feet off the ground. If the new law passes it will allow the hunters much more opportunity to hunt on days when they may not have hunted in "open weather".

As we all know Michigan hunters poor millions of dollars into our local economy each year. The more days we can keep hunters a field the more money they are spending on their sport.

The safety factor is also a huge plus, anytime you can increase the field of view for target identification plus change your shot angle towards the ground, it becomes a win-win for everyone.

As a citizen I hope to see this proposed bill taken all the way.

Kirk Campbell

I strongly agree. Being a disabled hunter, elevated blind hunting opens new opportunities for me that standard ground hunting does not. This is a major benifit to all people, especially those who hunt or live in the residential areas.

There is the inherent safety factor that goes with shooting out of elevated hunting platforms, and that is the path of the bullet/arrow is aimmed directly at the ground. Imagine how many dangerous incidents can be avoided by adopting this into law.

It's just amazing that something this simple couldn't have been adopted a long time ago. Makes you wonder how many lives could have been saved, insurance claims and property damage avoided.

raised platform hunting

I agree.
