you've had your candidate in the mansion for almost eight years. when is SHE going to start 'winning' and doing as she promised?

NEVER. the promises were empty.

she CAN'T AND WON'T save michigan. she doesn't feel it's worth saving. she MUST NOT, she applied for a cabinet position before she EVEN STARTED working her magic on the state. pity she didn't GET IT.

NOW she is stuck with the task of getting the state out of the mess she put is in.

There is no win or lose in these discussions cajun. There are expressions of opinions. Because you have unlimited time to sit at your computer and rant on about your bankrupt ideology doesn't mean you win anything. Getting the last word in isn't winning. Because I don't answer your rants doesn't mean I lost the argument. It means I have more important things to do.

Getting your party and representatives in office is winning. At this time in our state and our nation, I am winning, and you are losing. That is an undeniable fact, even by your warped reasoning. This discussion forum is important to you. Winning elections is important to me.

Devos......

McCain.....

Republicans around the country........ none of these guys won.

And they ARE one of the two parties. I think thats an even bigger loss, if you havent already noticed.

Re: School Employee Union Recommends Republicans

SIGH !! You are boring.

But ok , no problem.......

I voted for McStupid as a protest vote because I didnt think Obama was the best choice, I thought he was a liar and a hypocrite and because he took his name off the ballot in MI but did NOT take it off in Florida, even though the same circumstances existed in BOTH states. Thus squelching democracy in MI and disrespecting the people of MI. (In the primary obviously)

The reason you know this is beause I TOLD YOU !

And now I have told you again.

The difference...... Mine was a protest vote AGAINST Obama.

Not because he was black as YOU with your childish tantrums have assumed, but because he was UNQUALIFIED !

YOU on the other hand voted for McStupid because YOU REALLY believed in what the senile ignorant republican was saying.

Stale, canned, ignorant republican drivel.

in fact, according to the socialist national committee, all of them came in LAST except one, who came in NEXT TO LAST. that's a pretty poor showing against such populist movements as the green party, the independents, and the communists.

history will judge whether or not conservatism is dead. right now, it's simply in the minority. it's not dead any more than liberalism was dead when it was in the minority. by the way, with only ONE u.s. senator claiming to be socialist, i'd say that socialism is DEFINATELY in the minority.

and by the way... YOU are listening.

trueblue is listening.

lots of other nice folks are listening.

and i notice that you have stopped posting to several threads on this site, could it be that you feel that you have LOST those discussions?

you and trueblue are also in a distinct minority here. it's just you two representing the entire left.

now, your research, while SCHOLARLY, was woefully incompete. you forgot to mention the various government websites, like the library of congress, the national archives, and the smithsonian. the facts are there. why are you afraid to look there?

i looked there, that's where i found that list to be fairly accurate.

if you look hard enough, you will even find ben franklin's paper covering the story. don't tell me you don't believe the MEDIA on that one...

oh, i forgot, you don't believe anything that doesn't spin to the left.

i'd say you'd better school your education union to teach the truth, if what you have found is indeed the truth.

otherwise, i'm not sure which lefty to believe... THE TEACHERS who's job it is to present facts and educate (or if what you say is true to INDOCTRINATE) or YOU.

the harder you press that YOU are right, the more we think that the TEACHERS indoctrinate, not educate. so press on.

So much for the myth that teachers and their unions only support democrats.

The best way to improve public education policy in Michigan -- at the legislative level -- is to cease undermining the public schools system with repeated efforts to punish teachers, stiff local school districts on funding, and micromanage curricula. Time will tell whether this will occur with the new makeup in the House of Representatives.
