I agree about CFls and mercury problem...

It is important to note that the amount of mercury released by one bulb can exceed U.S. federal guidelines for chronic exposure!!

Now we get to watch one environmental group beat up another environmental group. What fun? The group that ostensibly wants to save energy will get creamed by the group that doesn't want the mercury buried in land fills. And if you break the little squirrely light bulb you'll probably have a hazmat team show up at your house. The government is just getting into every aspect of your life, aren't they now!

Will this override the federal mandate that we must switch to the new mercury containing lamp bulbs? Oh, I thought so.
