While Detroit and other cities in our state are on the verge of total collapse, it is gratifying to see that the Senate is instead spending its time on nonsense such as this. (Why am I not surprised that it was introduced by the Republicans?) Just what does this law mean? Microsoft certainly sells operating systems and copies of Office® to Iran, so must the state now ban Windows computers from its offices? A good portion of oil on the world market has come from Iran, so should we use an eighth less oil?
This is simply more mindless flag waving. What bill may we expect next? A bill urging people to hate Fidel Castro?
