As it stands, hospitals are dangerous places to be in. Why not make them less dangerous for the patients who must be there? This bill should go nowhere put the trash can.

Re: 2012 House Bill 5605 (Ban hospital employee flu shot mandates )

There is no guarantee per the CDC website that the flu vaccine will prevent the flu. We have so many hospital acquired infections because of overuse of antibiotics, poor staffing and resultant poor hygiene.( no time to wash hands and equipment as staff go room to room). We are receiving too many vaccines and our immune systems are suffering the consequences. Forcing staff to obtain a vaccine that is not 100% safe and has caused severe reactions in some is unfair. Do some research at the not-for-profit National Vaccine Information Center and remember, if you ever have a severe reaction to a vaccine you are not allowed to sue the medical facility where you received it or the pharmaceutical company that created it. That is thanks to your government http://www.nvic.org/nvic-vaccine-news/march-2011/no-pharma-liability--no-vaccine-mandates-.aspx http://www.nvic.org/Myths-and-Facts.aspx Pharmaceutical companies make billions in profits for all the vaccines they have convinced so many to get. This is about the $$$$ not anyone's health.
