    2011 Senate Bill 298 (Ban certain medical insurance scams )

    Introduced in the Senate on March 24, 2011, to prohibit the use by a health care provider of a paid “runner,” “capper,” or “steerer” to obtain patients with the intention of falsely or fraudulently obtaining insurance benefits

    The vote was 38 in favor, 0 opposed and 0 not voting

     Do those "clinics" that write "medical" marijuana prescriptions qualify as health care providers?

    It's amazing how creative con artists get when it comes to medical insurance scams. From colonics to lasik surgery and work-related injuries compensation, medical insurance scams are everywhere. I think this law should have been introduced several years ago.

    Notice how "disability" claims have increased?
