Are Gold-Star families really crying out for a section of highway--that most of them will probably never use--to be named in their honor? Why not name it "The Fallen Hero Highway" which would encompass fire fighters, policemen and ordinary Janes and Joes who died trying to make the world a better place? Why not name it "The Everyone's A Sinner But There's A Little Bit Of Good In All Of Us Memorial Highway" so I can feel good too when I'm down south driving on that particular piece of pavement? Why is it you have to be dead to be recognized around here?
