Again we see our so-called conservative republican leaders falling into a liberal   pattern of raising taxes to support a never ending revenue hodgepodge. This mindset continues to drain monies away from earners and place it in the hands of incompetent lazy politicians who remain convinced that they know best. Until we remove all these tax and spend individuals we will never get to keep what we earn. The Senate needs a walk to the wood shed by the angry voters of Michigan.

Yet another bad bill to harm Michigan families and businesses.  Leave us alone with the new taxes schemes until at least the economy has recovered.

Raising Taxes, consolidating Power in Lansing. The Democrats are all going to be for this, and Snyder knows it. To get the $500,000,000 all they have to do is shut down the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, there would be plenty left over to lower taxes.

More increases? How about cutting state government? Looking at duplicate programs, unnecessary regulations and tax subsidies.

There was a definite mistake in the entry of this information. It was meant to be a 6 or 7 percent increase, and the $20,000 car would go from $103 to $111 at the very most. Let those creating the bills live as the rest of us live: recovering from job loss, praying not to lose our jobs, and making 25%-50% less income than in 2008. If I were able to live near public transportation, I would have given up my car by now. Many Michiganders do not have the option to use public transportation. Passing this bill is a great way to get people to leave Michigan ... as if they haven't already left in droves when no jobs were available.

Do NOT encourage further exodus from our state; Do NOT pass this bill.

As a member of the Michigan and National Tea Party.........if this bill gets passed in Michigan we will primary every Republican on their next re-election bids in this state. As for Democrats...........they are a lost cause to say the least! We expect this from the Dems but not the Republicans.

First of all,, the Michigan and National Tea Party are fascious, ravenous dogs that are betraying America for their own private interests by buying politicians to create laws that are against womens' rights, discriminate against the elderly, the poor, retired, unions, and are anti-education, public libraries, the poor homeless shelters and food pantries, and are ravenous wolves that are so brain-dead they think pollution equals jobs.  I USE to be a strong Republican, but now I've been betrayed by my own party.  Therefore, I WILL vote for the Democrats even though they are mostly an immoral bunch of idiots.

cwilliamc46......you sound just like your other entitlement lovers.......a big spender of other people's money. This country spends more than the taxes, revenues that it takes in. Where do you think this money comes from to make up the difference then? 1. China? 2. Your kids? 3. Your grand kids? 4. Print more money which devalues your dollar 5. Raise taxes to the highest in the world? Pick one or all..........they all apply!

They always find new ways to introduce more taxes. Maybe the governement should find new ways to help the people with no money. They all have expensive cars. I think they could try to donate car to charity instead of making us pay more money.

This registration tax BS is going to be real simple. If Gov. Snyder thinks that this is going anywhere then he is a RINO and we, The Tea Party of Michigan will primary him next election. It is as simple as that.

No one likes to pay taxes if they can help it, but it can be the only way for a government to raise funds. Introduced to many taxes and you may not get the vote in the future!

Nobody likes tax increases, not even the senators who vote for them, I think we need another bill supporting the donate car movement and other charitable organizations. I would like to have the option of donating my old car and receiving a tax deduction for its value.

Is this serious? What's with the huge tax increase? Are we supposed to own car anymore? We just passed through the best decade for cars, things should get easier, so many technological improvements have been implemented, car ownership shouldn't discouraged by these taxes.
