This is stupid beyond words. Many people in Michigan are still unemployed. Those in rural areas already are having a hard time paying for gas for job hunting, etc. Yet you want to find money for so-called high-speed rail for favored urban areas! We see thru this! No new gas tax! Instead, spend what you get for roads-NOTHING ELSE!

No. This will hurt Michigan families and will negatively impact tourism.  The money needed should come from spending cuts within the current budget.  Michigan families and businesses are taxed enough already.

As a Tea Party member, if Olsen (R) wants to wage a tax war on the citizens of Michigan and increase gasoline taxes when The President will not let the oil companies drill on Federal lands..............he will be pri-maried in his next re-election bid.

By increasing state fuel taxes, people will start to suffer for their living. As I can understand that without any increase in taxes, the governments can't survive their tenure. But they should also understand that the average input of a family is just enough to meet their day to day expenses. A first time home buyer will be mentally tortured with such decisions being implemented.

Hike in fuel taxes is something that every government does to increase the revenue of the state. Although this is something that the public do not welcome very well, it is unavoidable due to increased usage and lack of availability of petroleum products.go here

Increasing fuel prices is a great concern to worry. Though the common people are not aware of the tax rates and such nuances, the government has always taken advantage of the people’s ignorance to hike the prices. It is great that posts like yours are a great help to understand the pricing structure.more

Fuel plays an important role in each and every activity of world, so it will be good for everyone to keep fuel prices low and exempt from all taxes. emr software by mtbc
