    Normal 0

"residents who legally own a firearm"!

"legally"? 2nd Amendment - whatever one can bear is legal, in spite of any state or local "laws" to the contrary.

I strongly support this legislation. This would directly affect my life in a postive manner. I strongly encourage this bills passage.

I strongly support this bill.  I have my CPL from Michigan and work for one of the largest distribution centers in the state.  My employer has choosen to put weapons free signs up on all driveways lead to the only parking lot and on all our buildings.  As a result of this, even though I have done all the leagal work to have my CPL, my employer has choosen to deny what I feel like should be a constitutional right. I feel I should be able to leave my weapon in my car while I am at work.  I have approached my employer about this, but they disagree with me.  This bill would directly affect my life and make it safer for me, going to and from work.  Indiana has this law in place as of July of 2011, and to the best of my knowledge has not had any problems with it.  I think it is unfortunate that some employers have choosen to make it difficult on people, like myself, to practice their constitutational right to bear arms.  I urge you to vote yes for this bill and allow law abiding citizens of Michigan to not be punished by their employers for their choice to have a leagally obtained Consealed Pistol Liscense in the state of Michigan.

I support this legislation.   It is ridiculous to think that an employee that is going to shoot a fellow co-worker would care that he will lose his job because of the current ban.

I`m not really sure where is this coming from. I think I heard about an accident in a parking lot once, due to a firearm left in the car, that has accidentally released a bullet by itself. No victims, but serious complications that left the insurance companies cover for some airtex fuel pumps and some further damage, luckily not too big. I assume these things can`t be entirely controlled, the point is to find a way of settling expertise on the firearms.

My friend works at an auto shop changing tires, Suspension Lift Kits, windshields and other goodies and he once found a gun there. He called the police and in the end everything was fine after the identification and all that. I think it's stupid to ban legal fire arms in vehicles just because the government (in secret) wants people to have less firearms.
