I strongly support this bill. I have my CPL from Michigan and work for one of the largest distribution centers in the state. My employer has choosen to put weapons free signs up on all driveways lead to the only parking lot and on all our buildings. As a result of this, even though I have done all the leagal work to have my CPL, my employer has choosen to deny what I feel like should be a constitutional right. I feel I should be able to leave my weapon in my car while I am at work. I have approached my employer about this, but they disagree with me. This bill would directly affect my life and make it safer for me, going to and from work. Indiana has this law in place as of July of 2011, and to the best of my knowledge has not had any problems with it. I think it is unfortunate that some employers have choosen to make it difficult on people, like myself, to practice their constitutational right to bear arms. I urge you to vote yes for this bill and allow law abiding citizens of Michigan to not be punished by their employers for their choice to have a leagally obtained Consealed Pistol Liscense in the state of Michigan.
