Dear Mr. Irwin,
I have been a classroom teacher for over 20 years, and I have put hundreds, and probably thousands of my own money into my classroom. Unfortunately, under your proposed bill, I, because I'm not working in the public sector would not be able to take advantage of your bill. This I don't understand. Please explain to me why teachers who work in a private school are any less deserving of a tax break. We need the same education, work the same hours and get paid less money, but can't get a tax break for our classroom. That really makes no sense at all.
Please reconsider and add ALL teachers to your bill. After all we ALL vote don't we?
