Bad idea. Breathalyzers in bars and resturants will be used to determine "winners" in drinking contests.

     REALLY?!

1st off, I DO NOT condone drunk driving. But haven't the laws gotten out of hand? When I was a young, dumb teenager, my friend and I got pulled over. Each with an open beer in hand and a full cooler in the back seat. Our punishment; We had to dump out ALL THE BEER! I remember being IRATE having to waste all that beer! What do you suppose would happen to a teenager (or anybody) today in that same situation? A young persons life could possibly be ruined! Perhaps the laws were too lax back then, but they have gone way over the top now! Imagine if you were .09 (2 beers) and an old lady were to pull out in front of you without looking. What do you think the news story is going to say?; Drunk driver slams into grandmother!

My brother-in-law works for the Jackson Co. Sheriff's Dept. One Tuesday morning, about 11am, he was outside of his patrol car with a customer. All of a sudden, SMASH! His patrol car was hit! He chased the guy down. When he caught him he blew a .47 (almost 6x the legal limit!) He had lost his license for countless prior DUI's. But that didn't stop him from getting in his car on a Tuesday morning at a .47! Laws don't stop a guy like that! They just prevent you and I from enjoying a couple of cold ones at our local watering hole while watching a Lions, Tigers, or Red Wings game!

His punishment for hitting a patrol car at a .47 on a suspended license; 15 years in prison! I have no problem with that!
