Introduced in the House on March 1, 2011, to clarify a limited “good Samaritan” liability exemption for health care professionals who are providing care at a free clinic. Under the bill, if a medical center offered to provide its paid health care professionals to staff a free health clinic at its own expense, they would still be covered by the current statute’s liability exemption, even though this only covers these individuals if they receive no compensation for their time
