ABSOLUTELY NOT!  Detroit has a city income tax already and look what it's done for THAT city!  Services are CRAP, corruption is the norm and the only people happy about it are politicians.  NO LOCAL TAXES (pre-emption!) and no MORE taxes on regular citizens!  Are you listening Lansing?  Taxes aren't the answer to the budget problems!  Using state money wisely and as frugally as we use our OWN is the best strategy.  Vote NO on this one or we'll vote NO on you at the ballot box!

    P.S.

Even the State of Michigan doesn't require SERVICES to pay taxes!!!

It's not that the politicians spend too much, It that the people aren't taxed enough. Notice the D behind the sponsor- Figures.

The tax structure is clearly broken and this resolution provides a fix. I admire the courage of those who made the proposal. We can't cut our way out of a broken system.

Right, the problem is not that the politicians spend too much-it because the people aren't taxed enough. They still have some money left.  We need to tax ourself into prosperity! Or is it poverty,
