My sentiments exactly. Living in an agricultural region, I can see the conditions that can impact the growing of corn. Many in the region have been impacted by severe drought many times in the past. How then, can we rely on a consistent supply?
Those farmers who rely on corn to feed their stock at times have to go to other markets to buy extra; do we need these farmers to compete? In addition we do not need to lose good farmland to ethanol plants, big or small. You're right.......to Hell with ethanol.
We must use our resources to drill for oil in a responsible manner!
