Since so many people have lost their jobs and houses in Michigan, that means that we have no money. For Byrnes to even have the nerve to suggest this tax is absurd.
I realize that Byrnes and other reps and senators can afford this tax, but a large majority of us cannot. In fact, we cannot afford any new taxes or other fees that you greedy, ignorant people wish to impose upon us. Furthermore, we are sick and tired of doing without the basic necessities just so you can have your outrageous salaries and benefits.
We are overtaxed and you are overpaid. So I propose that you raise this amount to $100.00 and that this tax apply only to reps and senators since you/they are the ones who have the jobs and money.
