I always thought a Veteran was anyone that joined the Armed Forces at any time and did their tour of duty and was discharged under honorable conditions. As a combat Veteran from Beirut I can't understand why the previous wording was ever put in there anyway. When you sign your name on the dotted line and raise your hand you don't know what's going to happen I'm in full support of this legislation! A I strong ly urge every one to do the same!
This bill comports with our common current understanding of the term, "military veteran," and makes sense.
