Introduced in the Senate on February 24, 2010, to appropriate $47.8 million in federal "stimulus" deficit spending, including $17.8 million to pay for the demolition of abandoned houses in a number of local communities; and $30 million for more subsidies for energy efficiency improvements to private homes and some commercial buildings, primarily in Detroit, Grand Rapids and some other metro-Detroit communities

What a bunch of hypocrites!   With a 1.4 Trillion Dollar Federal deficit I can see how appalled everyone in Lansing is about maxing out the Federal Credit Card!  So while we spend money on energy efficiiency improvements in some homes we get to watch while the unemployed get tossed out of their homes.  This gives new meaning to nice house, nobody home. I tip my hat to Nancy Cassis and Bruce Patterson for having the guts to vote against this.
