I like the idea of a scholarship program for college students. However, until the legislature can fund k-12 Schools adequately, how can you expect graduating students to remain in this state for 5 years? Our school district is laying off 33 teachers next year due to inadequate funding. Like it or not, education is a labor intensive industry with 80% of funding goiing towards salaries and benefits. If the State cannot diversity away from manufacturing, what type of job market do you expect to have here for college graduates. It seems to be a ridiculous bill.
